Detection of pharmaceutical and pesticide residues in drinking water

ifp Institut für Produktqualität has established analytical methods for the detection of pharmaceutical and pesticide residues in drinking water. The detectable range of substances comprises more than 460 pesticides and more than 40 pharmaceutical substances plus relevant metabolites.

The multimethod for pesticide residues is based on a special extraction technique followed by detection using HPLC-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS. We also test for individual substances that are not covered by the multimethod, e.g. glyphosate and its metabolite AMP or chlorate/perchlorate.

Pharmaceutical substances are detected with HPLC-MS/MS and comprise the most frequently used pharmaceutical categories including antibiotics, pain killers and contraceptives, ataractics and veterinary pharmaceuticals. We will gladly provide the complete range of substances on request.
